ELIGIBILITY & RULES
The objectives of The Win Big Charity Golf Cup are:
(a) to promote the game of golf through sportsmanship, corporate networking opportunities, fair play and quality competition, and
(b) to donate proceeds from the tournament to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association and the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
These policies, procedures and rules are intended to support those objectives, and every participant, whether player or official or volunteer, is expected to act in a manner that brings credit to the game of golf. Doing so will add to the enjoyment of everyone.
Note: Policies, Procedures & Rules posted at www.winbigcharity.org shall take precedence over any others.
POLICIES & PROCEDURES
1. Foursome and Single Player Eligibility & Application to Enter
Foursomes and single players must register for the tournament on the Win Big Charity Website at (https://www.winbigcharity.org/golfcupregistration). Tournament Entry is made exclusively online. ALL Players MUST be 18 years of age or older on the day of the Event. Foursomes and Single Players will be accepted to play at the sole discretion of The Win Big Charity Golf Cup. Any team withdrawing after March 24, 2025 will forfeit its entry fee.
Single Players will be placed in a Foursome for the Corporate and Amateur Divisions by the Win Big Charity Golf Cup officials.
2. Foursome Team Acceptance
Team acceptance will be given at the sole discretion of The Win Big Charity Soccer Tournament and only when all of the following is completed:
a) Paid the entry fee.
b) Registration Form completed with Foursome Team Name.
c) Uploaded Foursome Roster.
d) Players must confirm to have photo ID.
e) Evidence of medical coverage (for non-USA players).
3. Divisions
We take fair play seriously for the enjoyment of everyone.
a) CORPORATE: Is a category specifically designed for players that are interested in networking. Players can register a foursome or register as a single player and be placed in a foursome by Win Big Charity Golf Cup officials.
b) AMATEUR: Is designed to provide for a fun, inclusive environment for players of all skill level. Generally for less competitive and a more friendly focused environment.
c) PRO: Is a level of golf where players participate in a more challenging and competitive environment compared to recreational. Usually a higher pace and skill level.

4. Foursome Registration
The ​following information is needed if you are registering a Foursome;
​
a) Players Full Names, Dates of Birth - (Players Must Bring ID to the tournament).
b) Team Captain must be listed.
c) Team Information: Division Registered, Team Name, Contact Email, Contact Phone Number.
d) Corporate: Company Name, Address, Email and Phone Number.

5. Roster Changes​
Roster changes to your foursome can be made at any time until April 24th 2025. After, it must be made via Email to info@winbigcharity.org with "Golf Cup Roster Change" and your team name and division in the subject line.

6. Check-In
One (1) hour prior to your Tee Off, you must Check-In at the Win Big Charity Golf Cup registration tent and pick up your welcome package and scorecard.

7. Course Officials
Course Officials appointed by Win Big Charity Golf Cup are responsible for;
​
a) Course Setup: Ensure the Course is properly marked, including Teeing areas, hole and challenge locations.
b) Player Registration: Verifying eligibility. Distributing approved Scorecards and welcome packages prior to your scheduled Tee-Off.
c) Rules Enforcement: Provide Rules support for players, making decisions on any disputes, and ensuring the rules of golf and the Win Big Charity Golf Cup are followed.
d) Pace of Play: Establishing and enforcing guidelines to maintain a steady pace of play.
e) Weather & Safety: Deciding when to suspend play due to weather or other hazardous conditions.
f) Scoring: Overseeing the collection and verification of Scorecards, and ensuring accurate scoring.
g) Communication: Managing communication and relations with players prior and during the event.

8. Injuries
Protocol If a player, or course official suspects that a player has been injured, concussed/received a head injury, the Win Big Charity Golf Cup in following the mandate by the State of Florida to direct the athlete to a facility for medical attention.

9. General
The Win Big Charity Golf Cup will not be responsible for:
a) Refunds of entry fees if the tournament is cancelled or abandoned in whole or in part.
b) Refunds for any holes not played due to the withdrawal or dismissal of a team.
c) Expenses including accommodations costs, local travel and parking tickets incurred by players.
The Win Big Charity Golf Cup, reserves the right to resolve all matters pertaining to the Golf Cup. The Win Big Charity Golf Cup’s interpretation of the policies, procedures and rules and all other aspects of the Tournament is final.

RULES OF THE GAME
10. Laws of the Game
The tournament shall be played in accordance with the Laws of the Game as observed by USGA, United States Golf Association as well as competition rules set by The Win Big Charity Golf Cup.
11. Format
The format for the Win Big Charity Golf Cup is as follows;​
​
a) CORPORATE: - BEST BALL - Each player plays their own ball, and the lowest score on each hole counts for the team score. This format allows individual competition while still promoting teamwork.
b) AMATEUR: - SCRAMBLE - In a scramble, each team member hits a shot, and the team picks the best shot to play from. This format encourages teamwork and ensures everyone has fun.
c) PRO: - STROKE PLAY - Stroke play is a traditional format where each player counts every shot they take. This format is ideal for experienced golfers who want to compete individually.

12. Scorecards
A Scorecard will be provided to each player upon Check-In. For the Corporate and Amateur Divisions, only 1 Scorecard will need to be submitted to the Scorekeeper Director for verification at the end of the course. For the Pro Division, every player must submit their Scorecard to the Scorekeeper Director for verification at the end of the course.

13. Equipment (Club Count)
According to USGA standards, each player is allowed a maximum of 14 clubs in their bag at one time. If carrying under 14 clubs per game, you are able to add clubs during the game. If the limit of 14 clubs is exceed, there is a penalty.
​
If a player exceeds 14 clubs, the penalty is 2 strokes for each hole played in violation of the rules with a max of 4 strokes in total.

14. Re-Tee
If a player's ball falls off the tee during a tournament, there are no penalties for that player. However, there is a slight difference between the 2 main circumstances that re-tees are needed:
​
a) Golf ball falls off not in play: If a balls falls off when not in play, whether it is knocked off by the player or just falls off, the ball can be re-teed with no penalty.
b) Golf ball falls off during a stroke: If a ball falls off during a stroke whether you touched the ball or not, the stroke is counted, but there are no penalties.

15. Practice Strokes vs Practice Swings
Practice stokes are not allowed during the play of a hole, and if violated, can result in a 2 stroke penalty for the player in stroke play or a lost hole in match play. A practice stroke, however, is different than a practice swing - which are allowed.
​
a) Practice Stroke: (NOT Allowed) A practice stroke is made with the aim of moving a ball forward.
b) Practice Swing: (Allowed) A practice swing is made without the intention of moving a ball.
​
16. Three (3) Minutes to Find It
If a player hits their ball into the woods or another crowded space, they only have three (3) minutes to search for the ball before it's considered lost. This three (3) minutes starts after the search has started, not from the time the shot was made. If the ball is discovered a few seconds after passing the three (3) minute mark, it is still considered "lost" according to the rules of golf.

17. Identifying a Ball
When a shot lands in the deep rough and a player is unable to identify if it's their ball or not, USGA rules state that the player is allowed to lift the ball to inspect. However, they must first:
​
a) Declare to their competitors what they are doing.
b) Mark the ball's location
​
18. Putting with the Flagstick
Before putting, the rules require participants to remove the flag from the hole and position it out of the way of play (including play for their competitors). If they forget and accidentally hit the flag, they will be penalized - resulting in a 2 stroke penalty during stroke play or a 1 hole penalty for match play.

19. In the Event of Lightning
Big Win Charity Golf Cup’s policy is to halt play as soon as thunder is heard. “More people are struck before and after a thunderstorm than during one…When considering resumption of any athletics activity wait at least twenty (20) minutes after the last flash of lightning or sound of thunder before returning to the field of play.”

20. Player Code of Conduct
A player shall:
a) Maintain high standards of conduct which includes self control and responsible behavior. An athlete should always consider the well being of others and display courtesy and good manners at all times to teammates, opponents, course officials, and administrative staff.
b) Avoid profane or abusive language and disruptive behavior including behavior that is dangerous to self and/or others including acts of violence, racism, harassment, physical or sexual abuse.
c) Abide by the Rules and Regulations of the Win Big Charity Golf Cup.
d) Abstain from the use of cannabis products, and or illegal substances when participating in sanctioned activities. These include training/practice sessions and competition events.
Failure to comply with this player code of conduct may result in:
a) A warning,
b) Disciplinary action, and / or removal or suspension from competition and / or activities.

21. Protests
Protests must be made immediately to a course official. The course official will determine the course of action and their decision is final.

DRONE POLICY
22. Drones
For the safety and enjoyment of all participants and spectators, the use of drones is strictly prohibited on the premises during the Win Big Charity Golf Cup. This policy is in place to ensure:

Safety: Drones can pose a risk to players, spectators, and other attendees.

Privacy: Protect the privacy of all participants and spectators.

Uninterrupted Event Experience: Avoid disruptions and maintain a clear view of the event for everyone.
Violations of this policy may result in the immediate removal of the drone and the individual responsible from the premises.

PET POLICY
23. Pets
To ensure a safe and comfortable environment for all attendees, pets are not permitted on the premises during the Win Big Charity Golf Cup. This includes:

Service Animals: While pets are not allowed, service animals that assist individuals with disabilities are exempt from this restriction, provided they are properly identified and remain under control at all times.

Health and Safety: Large crowds and the nature of the event may not be suitable for pets, and we want to prevent any potential issues that could arise.
Attendees with pets will be asked to make alternative arrangements for their animals before entering the event area.
General Reminders

Security and Compliance: Event staff and security will be monitoring adherence to these policies. Cooperation is appreciated to ensure a positive experience for everyone.
